Although the Ultimate Ten’s Hogue grips are beautiful, they didn’t provide enough purchase for me, so I replaced them for much of the shooting with a pair of Tactical Grips from Craig Sword of MIL-TAC Knives and Tools. Made of super tough G10, these grips are CNC machined to leave diamonds in high relief for a grip that stays put in your hand under any conditions. A beveled approach to the magazine catch is an additional feature of these excellent “real world” grips. Available in black, black and OD green, and mottled black and gray, these grips are tops for any 1911 pistol intended for serious use. I chose a pair of mottled black and gray to compliment the matt gray finish on the Ultimate Ten pistol.
